Garden Party 2025 at Sonny’s in Aksarben

From DIY to Aksarben

Calling all music lovers! Garden Party the annual Omaha DIY music festival supporting an all-women fronted line-up is now being moved to the heart of Aksarben. It will be held on May 10, 2025 at Sonny’s outdoor venue and bar. The festival started in a Benson garden backyard in 2022 and will celebrate it’s 4th official festival in 2025.

In order to grow Garden Party to be an accessible festival for all, Festival Founder and Coordinator Madeline Reddel is partnering with Noddle Companies to create a FREE music festival celebrating local and regional women musicians.

“I want our community to experience and uplift women musicians at no cost,” said Garden Party Founder Madeline Reddel. “I’m excited to partner with Noddle. Investing in a culture of accessibility is key to the growth of women-made music in the Midwest.”

Patrons can expect bands performing within the genres of folk, indie, singer-songwriter, alternative, pop, blues, jazz, and more from Nebraska and across the region. Attendees are able to come and go as they please, bring leashed dogs, blankets, chairs, support the bands up close, buy band merch, party on the green, purchase food to be delivered from the Inner Rail, stop by nearby business, and buy drinks at Sonny’s bar.

The official line-up will be posted in March.

This is an all-age event. You must be 21+ to drink alcoholic beverages.

Garden Party is working towards a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization status and is centered on building community by celebrating women musicians in Nebraska. Questions can be emailed to madeline@gardenpartyomaha.com
